- The Pebbii version, shown at the bottom of the App's Settings screen

Please do not send us your password for Apple or Google. We never ask for it and we never receive it.
Common questions
Who can read what I write?
Only the members of that journal. Answers to the day's prompt open once everyone has written or skipped, and you see theirs only after writing yours. A personal journal is read by nobody but you.
The day's answers have not opened yet
A shared day stays held, shown as a dashed waiting row, until every member has either written or skipped it. Whoever has not answered gets one reminder that day. If you would rather not wait for everyone, the reveal can be switched off in the journal's settings, in which case you see the others' answers as soon as you have written your own.
How do I invite someone?
Share your journal's six-character code or its QR code. They install Pebbii, tap Join a Journal, and enter the code. The Premium subscription is only needed by the journal's owner, and only from the third member onwards — never by the person being invited.
Do I need a signal to write?
No. Entries are written to your phone first and sync when you are back online. If an entry has not appeared on your other device, check that both are online and signed in to the same account.
Your subscription
Premium is sold as an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store, on a monthly plan, a yearly plan, or a yearly family plan. Because Apple handles the billing, some things are managed in your Apple account rather than in the App:
- Viewing or cancelling: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
- Refunds: these are handled by Apple, under Apple's policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restoring a purchase on a new phone: sign in with the same Apple Account, then use Restore Purchases in the App's Settings.
- Family Sharing: the yearly family plan can be shared with your Family Sharing group, which is set up in your Apple account.
If you have paid and the App still shows you as free, check that you are signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase, then use Restore Purchases. If that does not sort it, email us and we will look at it from our side.
Your account and your data
- Exporting your data: request a plain export of everything from the App's Settings. It is free, on every tier.
- Deleting your account: also in the App's Settings. Deletion requires re-authentication to confirm. Your content is permanently removed from our systems within 90 days, except where retention is required by law. Entries already revealed to other members of a shared journal may remain visible to them.
- Privacy rights: what we collect, how entries are encrypted, and your rights under UK GDPR are set out in our Privacy Policy.

Email hello@pebbii.com to report a bug, to report content or behaviour in a shared journal, or to ask about anything not covered here. Our Terms & Conditions set out what is and is not allowed on the Service.
